PERNILLE LYKKE

Pernille Lykke is a self-tough jeweler with a background in the jewelry business and architecture.

She finds great inspiration in the Scandinavian and especially the Japanese way of life. Japanese people are known for their ability to perfect and at the same time find the perfect in the imperfect - which harmonizes well with Pernille's way of working.
“I love to keep improving myself and learning new techniques. Each piece is created in my hands and when using natural materials, such as 18k gold and gemstones, a small difference will naturally arise in each piece of jewelry, which makes each one unique.”

The ambition is to create high-quality jewelry and timeless designs, using carefully selected materials, while keeping sustainability in mind. Combining those two things, it makes it possible to create pieces that can last a lifetime and pass down generations when you take good care of it.

The Saki Spoon is the first piece from Pernille Lykke objects line. The piece is created from exploring and playing with Japanese wax to give it the wrought and imperfect look. The Saki Spoon is handcrafted in Aarhus from sterling silver and made to order. A limited number of three pieces were made especially for Ark Kollekt 09.
