GUNHILD AABERG

Gunhild Aaberg is a world-renowned Danish contemporary artist and ceramicist. She is based in Copenhagen, running her own studio and ceramic gallery. Each of Aaberg’s handcrafted artworks are entirely unique, characterised by multiple firings and distinct surface textures. She is one of the very few in her field to receive the Statens Kunstfonds’ honorary award.

Aaberg has exhibited globally throughout her career, featuring in the Museum of Arts and Design (New York), Barbican Centre (London), Design Museum of Barcelona, as well as Denmark’s most esteemed institutions. Aaberg is known to not be limited to working with clay in exhibition, creating art installations spanning various materials and disciplines.
