LUCAS TYRA MORTEN

Lucas Tyra Morten is an artist studio, co-founded by Lucas and Tyra Morten, based in southern Sweden. At the heart of the atelier is escapism from the increasingly technological world, where efficient, precise production lines erase the deeply human impact of craft.

Impermanence, fragility; these are the existential qualities that Morten Atelier imbue through their works. Inspired by the juxtaposition of organic forms—wood, ceramic—with unnatural materials—fibreglass, steel, plaster—, each of their pieces are defined by traces of experimentation, not seeking to arrive at ‘perfect’ models but rather to evoke a unique sense of character.

Lucas Tyra Morten are frequent collaborators with Ark Journal, Architectural Digest and OPENHOUSE, aligning with editorial visions that see art, design and architecture as interplay. Lucas and Tyra Morten is represented by Galerie PHILIA, a digital platform leading in global collectible design and art.
