ANDERS LØVFALL

Artist Anders Pfeffer Gjengedal (b. 1976) is a member of the Norwegian Sculptors Society, Norwegian Visual Artists, and Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts.

Anders has a background as a professional modern and classical dancer, with training from institutions in Oslo, Budapest, New York, and Bergen. Following an injury, he returned to his first creative passion - woodworking - originally sparked in his grandfather’s carpentry workshop.

Working from his own studio, Anders now creates sculptural works in wood and granite. His pieces have been acquired by Norm Architects for art installations and featured in several curated exhibitions across Norway. He has also designed products for the Swedish brand Cooee Design.

At the core of his artistic practice is a deep respect for the natural materials he works with - allowing their innate character to shape presence and atmosphere in the space they inhabit.

For Collection 14, Ark Kollekt presents four wooden sculptures. Each piece is crafted by hand and finished using traditional surface techniques that bring out the structure and life of the material.
