MINJAE KIM

Minjae Kim is a South-Korean artist living in New York City. Kim’s background is deeply informed by architecture and interior design, having studied at the University of Washington and then receiving an MA at Columbia. He now operates his own studio designing furniture and collectible objects.

Kim’s creative practice is the antidote to restriction - his works are anthropomorphic, quirky, harnessing the impractical and irrational. His pieces exist to interact with the space they inhabit, designed to stir emotion.

Figurative expression is eminent through Kim’s works, re-iterating recognisable and relatable forms to infer more abstract creative expressions.
