NINA NØRGAARD

Despite working across object categories and collaborating with a number of diverse brands, Danish glass artist Nina Nørgaard has created an aesthetic universe that is immediately recognisable.

Nørgaard graduated from the renowned Kosta School of Glass in Sweden in 2010, after having studied under glass masters in Paris, Venice, and San Fransisco to refine her technique. Her colourful, playful glassware brings together expert craftsmanship and a sense of joy, resulting in pieces that elevate any tablescape or corner of the home.

Nørgaard’s work is often surprising, finding the functionality in otherwise sculptural, almost raw glasswork. Two lumps of jagged glass suddenly become bookends; charming blobs of mouth-blown glass are turned into cabinetry pulls. The glassware chosen for Ark Kollekt is simple and elegant, with a focus on shape and pattern that allows it to blend in seamlessly with other design objects.

For Ark Kollekt 03, she presents a series of mouth-blown clear glass vessels.
