Helle Bovbjerg has worked with clay since childhood and graduated from Design School Kolding in 1990. Since 1994, she has run her own studio and showroom on the Jutland ridge, south of Viborg, exhibiting both nationally and internationally.
Her practice spans ceramic sculpture and functional objects, consistently revolving around strong, simple forms and clear, expressive design. In recent years, the teapot has become a central theme in her work – explored both as a utilitarian object and as sculptural form.
For Ark Kollekt, she presents hand-built teapots and unique cups, fired in her wood kiln, where flame and ash leave unpredictable marks, creating richly textured, one-of-a-kind surfaces. Every piece is unique and crafted by hand.
