For Collection #20, Ark Kollekt presents oil on unstretched linen by Sarah McNulty. ‘Portrait (backside)’ features a painting made on the backside of a found painting, initiated upon what has seeped through, in the form of a negative space of an imagined figure or object on the other side.  

McNulty’s works often present multiple versions of an image, that require movement by the viewer, multiple sides or layers, where they shift, slip or must be negotiated.
