For Collection 16, Ark Kollekt presents five stoneware boxes by French ceramicist Alice Trescarte. The distinctly rich, mineral-quality of her works’ surface textures arise from the schist stone in her ash glazes, sourced from the Cézennes, where she grew up.

Each stoneware piece is characterised by a uniquely anthropomorphic expression, with Trescarte subtly imbuing her works with a sense of humour to balance the thoughtful dedication of her craft, nurturing a deeper sense of connectivity to the spaces that her sculptures inhabit.
