Danish ceramicist Helle Bovbjerg has worked with clay since childhood and has run her studio on the Jutland ridge since 1994, exhibiting nationally and internationally. Her work moves fluidly between sculpture and utility, with the teapot emerging in recent years as a central motif.  

For Ark Kollekt, Helle Bovbjerg presents a series of hand-built teapots and unique cups. Each piece, including this brown teapot featuring a distinctive metal handle, has been fired in Bovbjerg’s wood kiln, resulting in richly textured surfaces that are entirely one-of-a-kind. 

The teapot is currently on view as part of the Ark Kollekt exhibition at St. Leo, curated by Pernille Vest. Hosted in St. Leo’s Copenhagen showroom – a space that honors material sensitivity and timeless design – the exhibition brings together sculptural works in wood, clay, glass, and metal.
