The MA STOOL was designed by Georg Mengel in commission for the Design / Dialogue exhibition curated by Ark Journal during 3DaysofDesign 2024.  

The handcrafted MA STOOL with it's elegant design, minimalist construction and light, natural color – a nod to traditional Scandinavian design - made from local Scandinavian pine, is beautifully simple and speaks of a graphical design language whilst retaining a playful feel. Treated only with a white pigmented oil, the natural organic material with its original texture and visible fibrillation stands in focus, aligning with MENGEL’s design approach of highlighting naturally occurring patterns and textures. The functional and versatile design of the MA Stool makes it suitable as a seating compliment or side table.
