For collection 09, Ark Kollekt presents a selection of handmade ceramic pieces by Majse Juel.
The cup is created with inspiration from the traditional Japanese technique known as ´Kurinuki´, which means ´ to hollow´. Kurinuki is a hand-building process that involves shaping and slowly carving away clay, resulting in pottery that is unique every time. Through this intuitive process, raw edges are gradually revealed, adding an authentic, visual, and tactile dimension to the table setting.
Each cup is handcrafted, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. The cups are glazed in a light color, and since each piece features a distinct pattern, the color appears differently on each one.
