"Det foøles some om jeg danser med glasset. Må dansen vare evigt (It feels like I'm dancing with the glass. May the dance last forever)," says Rikke Stenholt of her artistic practice.
Design objects that look inevitable, as though they were revealed in the glass rather than built, Stenholt produces handmade glass pieces from her Aarhus studio. Material driven, her works shows great reverence to raw edges, organic shapes, and undulations in texture or thickness.
Stenholt glass adds a sense of spontaneity to any space, blending seamlessly with a variety of other materials and textures. For Ark Kollekt 03 Stenholt presents The Wine Glass, The Drinking Glass and The Coffee Cup, made of mouth-blown clear glass.
