”The most beautiful mix between art and everyday objects,” says Ark Kollekt curator Lotta Agaton of Daniel Wester’s practice. Former photographer, Wester surrendered to a medium better suited to his formal language, wood, and an impulse to work with his hands.

Wester’s surprisingly tender woodwork includes thick deep spoons and bowls with the almost unbearably thin handles, carved wooden trays and other small objects.  

For Ark Kollekt 03, he presents a series of five ebonised vessels carved from cherry.
